**Excerpt from the Book *Hikamul Isyraq* with Commentary by Sheikhuna Youssef Muhieddine Rek El Bakhour Al Hasani. (18th Rajab 1446 H).** --- **A Reminder in Repentance:** Do not make sins your vehicle, for indeed they are a lame ride in realizing your repentance to Allah. Instead, race towards Allah on the correct path guided by a straight and upright course. Never allow your desires or deceptive reasoning to become your vehicle in seeking Allah, for they will become a barrier obstructing your path to Him. Desires are the root of all erroneous paths, while the closest way to Allah is through sincerity in seeking Him. This is the straight path, contrary to the inclinations of the self.
